Shannan T.’s Story

I'm a 20-year Lupus survivor. I could tell you a really long and sad story, but not today. Today, I'm going to tell you about a seed that was harvested into my life. That seed has a name; it’s called Lupus. That seed has made me mad, sad, hurt, cry, and even worry. But not today. Today, I have planted one million seeds around that one sad little ole’ Lupus seed, and I’m flourishing in my harvest. I have expected and demanded that those seeds be nurtured by God, and my harvest grows stronger daily. I take 200mg of Hydroxychloroquine/Plaquenil two times a day, followed by 4000mg of vitamin C, Turmeric, Ginger, Probiotics, Glucosamine, and a Brain Vitamin daily. Then I continue to demand from God that those one-million seeds be nurtured and loved by Him. I do this every day when I wake up—I humble myself and become grateful for His continued mercy and grace.

So, with that being said, I pray that every Lupus survivor plants their own one-million mustard seed garden and demands that it be nurtured and loved by God. Today, I have planted strong, kind, and loving words for your garden, so remember to do the same for yourself and for another survivor’s garden. And like I’ve often said before, I may have Lupus, but Lupus does not have me. — Shannan T.
